David Bermudez was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx, NY. Being number 5 of 6 children he had to figure out a way to be noticed. Performing was the answer.

David graduated from Laguardia High School for Music & Art and the Performing Arts in 1993. While there, he developed a passion for The Visual Arts. He marched with the Cadets of Bergen County Drum and Bugle Corps as a member of the Colorguard. He spent his summers touring across the U.S. from 1992 to 1996.

Before 9-11, David was part of a singing group called Shadz of Soul and was on the verge of signing a single deal, but the whole world changed and that included David's.

David moved to Texas in 2002. In the summer of 2003 David auditioned for and won a spot with Astroworld's Rockin’ Country show. There he was able to show off his singing and dancing skills in front of a large audience. You might have seen David at JR's while he hosted it's popular Karaoke show and in 2005 David won the title of Mr. Gay Houston.

Today he sings with Music By Midstream, a popular dance band, performing at Houston events all over town including the International Festival.
